Welcome to a bizarre love triangle!

Nothing much have happened here during the last weeks and that's because we have greater plans in store. Say Yes to Sweden ! will most definetely take a quite long break since I'm focusing my energy and songs on the new fabolous project together with two of my friends. We call it l'amour a trois and it's a music blog reaching for the stars and your heart of course. The text are in swedish so if you don't know that fabolous language take a class or come there, sleep on my couch for a coupple of years and learn. You can still download the songs though and just ask us in the forums if there's anything you want to know. With all my heart, welcome!

I have forgot to tell you about Strip Squad I believe!

And that's not good since their good and I kind of know the mastermind behind it all but I'm still totally objective so don't worry. It's objectively speaking a great song they made and if their forthcoming album, ep or whatever, is as good I'll buy the guy a drink next time I see him which can probably take a while since I'm in San Diego and he's in Skåne, the birthplace of for example Edvard Persson, Peps Persson and a lot of other persons. It also one of the prides of Swedish landscapes with it's population of 95% geniouses and strippers. This is some of them singing and playing various instruments.

The home of Strip Squad where you can find the smash hit Unreliable Narrator

As I feel really kind today you'll also get one of the worst Swedish songs ever called "World Wide Web" and performed by the sadly dead Nick Borgen. He competed with it in a Swedish musiccompetition we all watch and call Melodifestivalen (The festival of Melodies) in the beginning of the nineties and he sings about how wonderful the world wide web is. Yes, it is indeed. Listen to this foolish masterpiece of crap.

Darling can you save me?

Someone I like/love quite a lot just left this place where I'm living at the moment and I think I need Sophie Rimheden to save me and of course she does. She always do. That girl. Sophies new and free single is her best so far. She can save you too. Just go home to her.

Sing that you're from Barcelona!

I know that I've left you alone for a while. It was not that long though. Waking up from a coupple of weeks americanization i remembered how much I love swedish indie. In some dream I had once (yesterday) a great band called I'm from Barcelona played their songs from me and we talked about cupcakes, treahouses and how great it is to have a mom. It's great! It's a shame you maybe don't understand swedish because they write pretty nice things on their website. Do you know what? You can hear their songs on their site as well. Do it, and where it says Guestbook (yes, it's that awesome english language!) write that you think nice thoughts about them and send them my regards. The picture is actually not from Barcelona. No, no it's from Ostergotlands greatest lake: Lake Vattern.

Go support Swedens best label: Service!

We have been talking about Service here earlier since it's the home of for example the Embassy. They released their new single today called Some indulgence. It's smashing of course. At the same time the label started their new mp3 service where you can download their stunning catalog of modern and swedish indiepop. Jens Lekman can be your new best friend, go dancing with Tough Alliance or go swimming to the sound of Erik de Vahl.
The small label Popkonst mailed me and wanted to be here so check them out. I would say that their bands are top notch but sadly their website is in Swedish. Try to mail info@popkonst.com and I'm sure thay can help you to order something from their cave of treasures.
There will soon be mp3s here again but at the moment I'm on the road in the US and feel pretty lost. It will work out in a coupple of weeks.

We Say Yes to USA!

Say yes to Sweden takes a quick brake since I´m going to San Diego for a while. This week I have to spend my time at different trains and boats and planes but we will soon be back again, relocated to the country the swedes call Amerikas förenta stater. See you there! In the meantime, discover all the great bands that played in Emmaboda on the kind of famous Swedish indiefestival there. You should have joined us because we had a great time. Most of the bands have mp3s on their websites. Especially check out The Consequences, The Mexicos, Rough Bunnies, Jens Lekman and Vapnet who all were fantastic.

It's time to give CDOASS a fair resort

Hello again. The rain is pouring down over Sweden and the kids dance to post-punk like there's no tomorrow. Since we haven't received any postcards from the Rapture in ages it's great that we have a Swedish runner up in the genre we like to call discoindie or pistoldisco. CDOASS have been around for a long while now and finally they released an album, "Extra Fingers", backed up by the producer Christian Falk that has made some boring house and industry before he met these fine young cannibals. A marriage made in heaven. The best song is "A fair resort". Do the hustle.
